Under the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program, if you teach full-time for five complete and consecutive academic years in a low-income school or educational service agency, and meet other qualifications, you may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $17,500 on your Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans and your Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans.The links below will provide additional information about both Teacher Loan Forgiveness and Public Service Loan Forgiveness..
Teacher Loan Forgiveness (TLF) Program
You may be eligible for Teacher Loan Forgiveness of up to $17,500 if

you teach full time for five complete and consecutive academic years in a low-income elementary school, secondary school, or educational service agency, and
-
you have a Direct Loan or Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program loan.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program
You may be able to receive Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) if

you work in childcare or in early childhood, public, or not-for-profit education, and
-
you have a Direct Loan.*
