• Welcome to my classroom!  I have been an educator for over 20 years, with all of my experience being in the adaptive classroom.  I use a variety of techniques and materials to ensure that I am challenging every student every day.  Our students enjoy pre occupational training by doing various school jobs during the day. I use the standard course of study extensions, ULS, district level materials and pacing guides to keep students engaged in the curriculum.

I graduated from Rockingham Senior High School in 1998 where I enjoyed being on the wrestling team.   I attended NCSU and have a BA in political science.  I started my teaching career at Reidsville Middle while doing the PAIL program at UNCG to get my licensure in special education.  In 2014 I attended ECU and received my masters in specialized education.

I have two children (Carter and Perry) and we live in Summerfield.  Carter is a senior and will attend UNC Wilmington next year. Perry is a 7th grader at Rockingham County Middle School. He loves soccer and traveling.  I have a passion for real estate and typically buy one or two houses a year to renovate.  I have a house in Morehead City where I try to spend most of the summer months.
