My name is Laura Shinn and I have been teaching for 20 years! I started my career in the elementary school but found my true passion to be in middle school. I switched from regular education to special education and never looked back. As a parent of a child with disabilities, I am dedicated to understanding how one learns and how I can make that happen in the classroom.  I believe that kindness and understanding of individual disabilities are most important in inspiring my students to be lifelong learners. I teach inclusion ELA (7th grade) and Math Resource (7th grade).  It has been a joy to teach at Northern Middle School for the past ten years and I look forward to ten more!
