Dr. Pamela Ford

Welcome Back Triangle Lake Montessori! We are looking forward to working together with our school community. I am also excited to be working alongside Mrs. Dukes, our Assistant Principal for the 2nd year. We are ready to Bream B.I.G. (Believing In Growth) for the 2022-2023 school year!

About Dr. Ford:

I was born in Alamance County, North Carolina.  As a third grader, I had an amazing teacher who greatly inspired me.  It was then that I knew I wanted to be a teacher.  After high school, I attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.  I worked in the Alamance-Burlington Schools District for five years.  During that time, I taught 5th grade and served as a Technology Resource Coordinator. Shortly thereafter, I began teaching in the Guilford County Schools District. Over my 17-year career with GCS I have worked as a teacher, technology facilitator, curriculum facilitator, and school administrator. In 2006, I received a Master’s in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and in 2014 I also earned a Doctoral Degree from the same institution.

On a personal note, I have a son that is a recent college graduate.  I love to shop, cook, travel, plan events, and attend Zumba classes.  I can't leave school until I have cleaned my desk off each afternoon.  Most of all, I love to spend time with my son, Ian!

My favorite educational quote that is at the heart of why I am a principal reads, "If there is anything that we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves" by Carl Jung. This quote has been a guiding principle by which I have tried to live.  I am proud to be the principal of Triangle Lake Montessori Elementary!

Message from the Assistant Principal:
Welcome Back TLM Family,

I am eager to be serving alongside Dr. Ford and our community. We have persevered through a unique school year and I know that 2022-2023 will be a year of great growth and triumph for our school! This year we are Dreaming B.I.G. at TLM. This means we are believing in growth for our staff, students, and surrounding communities.

About Mrs. Dukes
I was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia where my passion for education and serving others began. I attended Greensboro College where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education (K-6), from there I began my career as a teacher in Guilford County at Bessemer Elementary School. In 2020, I received my Masters in School Administration from North Carolina A&T State University. Throughout my career, I have served in Danville Public Schools and in Alamance Burlington as a Behavior & Regional Teaching and Learning Coach.
I leave you with this quote:

"Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it."
