Meet Mrs. Lofters!

Welcome to my page.  I am the 5th grade Science & Social Studies teacher at JWES.  I enjoy sharing all of the 5th-grade students with my 5th-grade team each school year!

I am originally from Raleigh, NC, and received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees both from UNCG. This is my 14th year teaching and for the last 12 years, I've taught 5th grade at JWES.

I am married and have two sons who are in the 7th and 3rd grade.  We also have a 3-year-old Labradoodle named Ziggy.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing board games, watching movies, and traveling with my family.  I also like to visit Target or Starbucks when I get a moment alone.
