Allison Ring is the music specialist at Pilot Elementary school where she teaches elementary general music. She holds a Master of Music focus in Education, a post-graduate certificate in Ethnomusicology, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Ring has served two terms as NCMEA's Multicultural Chair, as the GCS Elementary Music Educators' President, Symphony and Opera Chair, in addition to being the coordinator of the Literacy Strategies for Elementary Music Educators Workshop for Guilford County Schools. Her current research interests include music curriculum design and integration across content areas and children's music of varied cultural groups.
