WELCOME JAGUARS

My name is Ms. Honor and I am elated to teach 8th grade English at "The Hairston" middle school for my fifth year.  Just to introduce myself I am originally from Ft. Washington, Maryland, and have been in Greensboro since 2016. I am a proud alum of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Teach For America's Charlotte-Piedmont Triad's 2016 Corps. I am also going into my fifth year of coaching Track and Field at "The Hairston" as well. My motto is that "all students can and will learn" and I work daily to ensure that my students are working at their fullest potential and toward college and career readiness. We are going to have a magnificent school-year and I cannot wait to resume in-class learning so that I can see all of your beautiful and handsome smiling faces. I know this pandemic has affected everyone in different ways and if you are feeling anxious or overwhelmed about the school-year just take a deep breath and know that I am with you every step of the way. Here at "The Hairston' we love to say, "once a jaguar, always a jaguar". Show off that jaguar pride and never forget who you are.
