Welcome Jaguar Parents and Students!

   Welcome back to the new Hairston Middle School! My name is Ms. McGoogan and I am your Language Arts teacher! I moved to Greensboro from Washington, DC, in 2012 and have been with GCS ever since. This is my 8th year teaching English Language Arts at The Hairston Middle School teacher. I am looking forward to working with you and showing you all the many ways reading can and will impact you, whether we are reading fiction, nonfiction, poetry, etc. ALL books matter!  

 Though our format and communication may be different this school year, our collective goal is the same-to help you be successful! This sometimes hybrid learning experience may be a challenge for all us, teachers and students, but we will get through it together. We will be here to support you every "click" of the way! Don't get overwhelmed. You are strong, brilliant and beautiful! Remember, JAGUARS have no fear!
