    Hi, I am Michael A. Crenshaw, I teach classes in both the Media Productions & Adobe Academy Pathways here at Weaver Academy. I have over 30 years of teaching experience in the Guilford County School System. I have been a SkillsUSA advisor for 30 years as well as a National Education Team member for the past 25 years

  • ADOBE VISUAL DESIGN

    This course is a project-based course that develops, career, and communication skills in print and graphic design using Adobe tools. This course is aligned with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator certification. Students get a chance to work on real-world projects to help evaluate their skills. SkillsUSA competitive events, community service, and leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences.

     

    ADOBE VIDEO DESIGN  

    This course is a project-based video course that develops career and communication skills in video production using Adobe tools. This course is aligned to Adobe Premiere certification. Students get a chance to work on real-world projects to help evaluate their skills. Students will be creating a variety of video production projects from commercials to short films. SkillsUSA competitive events, community service, and leadership activities will provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences.

     

    MEDIA PRODUCTIONS I

    Students will work in a fully equipped industry-standard broadcast studio and film studio. This course is intended to prepare students for careers in film, television production, live broadcasting, scriptwriting, on-air graphics, audio engineering, pre-production and postproduction, and talent development. After completion of this course, students will have the required experience to obtain employment or entry into a post-secondary education program in the audio and video technology career field. 

     

    MEDIA PRODUCTION II

    Students will continue to enhance this knowledge and skills in the 2nd level of this course. This course is intended to prepare students for careers in film, television production, live broadcasting, scriptwriting, on-air graphics, audio engineering, pre-production and postproduction, and talent development. After completion of this course, students will have the required experience to obtain employment or entry into a post-secondary education program in the audio and video technology career field. Students will be able to produce and direct their own shows.
