SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2021 (JUNE 5TH - AUGUST 22ND)
It's almost time for our Summer Reading Challenge (#GCSReads30)!!!
Students will get a reading log and flier to take home the last week of school.
Students who read 900 minutes this summer will entered into a drawing to win a ticket to one of two Kersey Valley Attractions (Zipline, Axe Throwing, Escape Room, Laser Tag, Ropes Course, Bowling, Spooky Woods). That's only 30 minutes a day for 30 days or 15 minutes a day for 60 days!

MEDIA CENTER MISSIONGillespie Park Elementary Library declares a media center movement driven by our teaching-librarian philosophy, media specialist holds central the call to action and our mission to engage, educate, explore and empower. Through promoting and making accessible culturally relevant instruction, programming and utilization of multimedia materials we look to stimulate a reading revolution. By liberating literature on a daily basis we hope to create a culture where the amounts of books read and consumed will act as the catalyst to changing the world. The mission of the Gillespie Park Elementary Library Media Center is to engage, empower, explore and educate.
