My name is Michelle Strader and I have lived in North Carolina my entire life.. I have been happily married to my husband Donnie for over 26 years. We have three beautiful children. Stephanie is 24 and is in school to become a chef. She works at a restaurant in the catering business. Parker is 20 and just began his Junior year of college at Winston Salem State University, where plays baseball. Finally, my "unexpected blessing", Carson is 10. He is very active and loves to swim and play Fortnite, which is a game on XBOX. He just began fourth grade. God has blessed me richly with my family. I adore them. I love to read in all of my spare time (ha ha), go to the beach, and spend time with family and friends doing all kinds of activities. I have been teaching for over 27 years. During this time, I taught regular education for 15 years and have been teaching special education for over 12 years. During my role as a regular education teacher, I was the inclusion classroom for children that were autistic, deaf, had Down’s syndrome, and had difficulties with learning. I received my undergraduate degree from UNCG and completed my Master's Degree in Special Education in August of 2013 from Liberty and my Ed. S degree in Leadership and Supervision in August of 2017. I am continuing to pursue my Ed.D in Leadership and Supervision. I am ¾ of the way to finishing at his point. I believe that all children can learn despite their differences and I am very excited to be at Northeast High School.
