I'm Mrs. LaRue and I've been at Sedalia Elementary School for TEN years now. I love teaching young minds and watching them grow throughout the school year. This is my 8th year teaching first graders but I also spent three years as a second grade teacher. I enjoy teaching reading because it is so important for your future! My absolute favorite subject to teach though is math because it's all around us!

I grew up 5 hours north of here, in the small town of LaPlata, Maryland. I came to North Carolina to attend college and graduated with my Elementary Education Degree at Greensboro College. I love living in the south, but I do miss my huge family back at home.

I am married to Mr. LaRue and he is exactly one foot taller than me. We have one lovely daughter, Clara who is 1 and keeps us going all day long. Our family has 3 pets, Avery, Gru and Doc, who are all very good at snuggling!

In my spare time, I love to create things and add my personal touch. I am always up for hanging out with my family, crafting and listening to some of my favorite tunes!
