• My name is Heather Griffin, and I am excited to be a part of Sedalia Elementary.  I graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College with a degree in Food Service and Hotel Management.  I worked in that field for 8 years before I decided to be a stay-at-home mom until my daughter Sara started kindergarten.  I went back to school to study elementary education, and I received my NC Teaching license form North Carolina A&T University.  I had the privilege of completing my student teaching here at Sedalia Elementary.  I have worked here since 2010, first as a teacher assistant, and now as a teacher.  I absolutely love school, and I love teaching.

The most important thing to know about me is that I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and I try my best to honor Him in all I do - both personally and professionally. I married my husband, Mike, in 2001.  I have a son Michael (wife Kristen & son Latham + 1 on the way), who serve in the US Air Force.  I also have a daughter Sara that is a student at UNCG - studying visual arts.  When I am not at school, I am involved at my church and helping with local ministries/missions.  I enjoy reading, baking and cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.
