• Welcome to my Teacher Page! I am very excited to be teaching at Pilot Elementary School! I have been a regular classroom teacher since 2001. I began my teaching career in Stokes County and I taught there for two years. I moved to Guilford County in 2003 and was a substitute teacher for half a year at Claxton Elementary School. I began teaching at Jamestown Elementary School in 2004 and taught there for 13 years. I was the Jamestown Elementary School PTA Teacher of the year for the 2007-2008 school year and was voted Jamestown Elementary School Teacher of the Year for the 2011-2012 school year. I began teaching at Pilot Elementary School in 2017. I have taught every grade from Kindergarten to Sixth Grade at some point in my career, but I enjoy teaching Kindergarten the most. My goal is to help students begin building the skills needed to become responsible, productive adults.

A little bit about me: I have an Associates Degree from Surry Community College, studied Elementary Education at Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University, and received my Bachelors Of Education Degree from WSSU. I played bass in a heavy metal band prior to becoming a teacher, I love running, enjoy non-fiction books about travel and mountaineering, and soccer is my absolute favorite sport. My wife is a former teacher from London, England and we love traveling the globe!
