Families!!! Our art fundraiser is here and just in time for the holidays. I am using a new company this year and I am super excited! Square 1 offers three ways to order your artist’s artwork on dozens of products. Your family packet has an individualized online code (please don’t lose it!) If the internet is not your jam, there is a paper order form that is returned with payment to SQUARE 1 ART. Those order forms come directly to me. There is a third option to order by phone. New this year: FREE STICKERS! Your artist gets to see their work on a set of free stickers in your packet. How fun is that? ANY STUDENT that orders gets to add one of their stickers on our Millis Road Collage. If you place an order, send your student to Mrs. Larrick’s room to add to our school wide art piece. Thank you and please email me with ANY questions! ARTfully yours, Mrs. Larrick 😊

P.S. to share that we are all learning….Mrs. Larrick made an oops and had our artwork completed on the rectangle instead of the square side of our special paper. OOPS….SQUARE 1! Totally an ugh moment. But they are so amazing that they fixed our artworks to fit into the square. Phew!

Elementary specials are graded on a unique scale. Rather than the traditional 1-100 scale, those courses have a 1, 2, 3, 4 scale which is not designed to calculate grades.  Teachers can enter assignments and grades if we want to (and I do), but those won’t calculate a quarter average. Specialist teachers manually enter a final grade for each student using the 1-4 scale. If you have set up Power School alerts and I have entered grades for a specific assignment, it will notify you that your student has a 1. That is incorrect. You can log in to your account to see assignment grades. These grades will be averaged for the final quarterly grade. I hope this clears up any confusion! 😊 Mrs. Larrick
