WELCOME TO P.E. IN TIGER NATION !!!

My name is James Dettbarn. I am the Physical Education Teacher. This is my 27th year of teaching at Sedalia Elementary School and I am very excited about what this year brings for your child! I am originally from New York and come from a long line of teachers in my family. Outside of school, I like to play basketball, hike and walk as much as I can. I also like to play disc golf. There are many challenging and enjoyable courses that I play locally and around the state.

I will work hard to ensure your child enjoys and succeeds in Physical Education. It is my goal that your child will leave Sedalia with the confidence and knowledge to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle.
