Walk 4 Greene is our biggest fundraiser of the school year! And we have good news — there is nothing to buy, and nothing to sell! No wrapping paper, cookie dough or candy involved! Students and their families collect donations for our school from friends and family, and every $$ collected goes straight to General Greene! This year our goal is to raise $25,000!
The majority of our PTA budget comes from the money we collect from Walk 4 Greene. And just as the name suggests, all the funds collected are used FOR General Greene students and teachers. We use these funds to provide things like science lab supplies, updated technology for our classrooms, and enrichment events for students that district funding does not cover.
Mark your calendars to join us on October 25 to walk the track with your child during their specials period! Information packets & collection envelopes will be sent home in Tuesday folders on Tuesday, September 10. Collection envelopes must be returned and all online donations submitted by Monday, October 21 to qualify for prizes! Prizes this year will include VIP Classroom passes, Popcorn and Cotton Candy, a Walk 4 Greene Hoodie and the opportunity to slime a teacher! Classes with 100% of students collecting donations will get a pizza party!
Cash and check donations are gladly accepted and can be given to your friendly General Greene Gator or mailed directly to the school.
* Please make checks payable to General Greene PTA and include the name of the student you are sponsoring to ensure they receive credit!
