I would like to welcome everyone back for the 2020-2021 school year! I am the proud Assistant Principal of General Greene Elementary School. It is my pleasure to serve our school community.
I’m excited to celebrate my 20th year with Guilford County Schools! Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I worked as a classroom teacher in first through fourth grades and a Curriculum Facilitator. I graduated from UNCG with a degree in Elementary Education in 2001. In 2007, I earned National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education. I was honored to be named Rankin Elementary’s Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2001 and Monticello-Brown Summit’s Teacher of the Year in 2016. I completed my Principal Internship in 2015 at Monticello-Brown Summit Elementary and graduated from High Point University in December 2016 where I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership.
I’m a passionate educator with a love of teaching and learning. I lead with a positive attitude and have high expectations for our students and staff. I describe myself as a servant leader. I enjoy serving and working with others. I believe all students have a right to the best education we can provide. As educators, we must be creative and find ways to help every child reach their maximum potential. It is also my passion to grow our amazing teachers! As Assistant Principal of General Greene, I will continue to strive for excellence each day and look forward to working with students, staff and parents this school year to make General Greene an amazing place to learn and work! It is my hope that all of our Gators have a wonderful school year filled with fun, lots of learning and academic and social/emotional growth!
