I would like to welcome everyone back for the 2018-2019 school year! I am the proud Assistant Principal of General Greene Elementary. It is my pleasure to serve the students, teachers and parents of General Greene.
I have been fortunate to serve in many roles throughout my seventeen years with Guilford County Schools. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I worked as a classroom teacher in first-fourth grades and a Curriculum Facilitator. In 2001, I graduated from UNCG with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2007, I earned National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education. I was Rankin Elementary’s Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2001 and Monticello-Brown Summit’s Teacher of the Year in 2016. I completed my Principal Internship in 2015 and graduated from High Point University in December 2016 where I earned my masters in Educational Leadership.
I am a passionate educator with a love of teaching and learning. I lead with a positive attitude and have high expectations for our students and staff. Our students have a right to the best education we can provide. I believe we must be creative and find ways to help each student reach his/her maximum potential. As Assistant Principal of General Greene, I will continue to strive for excellence each day. I look forward to building partnerships with all stakeholders this year. Together, we will grow EVERY Gator, EVERY day!
