My Background:
While growing up overseas in Thailand, I fell in love with music when I joined middle school band and chorus. I learned to play the flute in band and sang in the soprano section of chorus. I returned to the US for high school and attended Southern Guilford High School, where I continued to play in the band and sing in choir all the way through school. I was blessed to have many wonderful music teachers growing up who truly loved me and inspired me to become the teacher that I am today.
I studied music at Western Carolina University and majored in voice within the music education program there. I received a B.M. in General Music and a B.S.Ed. in Music Education in 2012.
