The typical GCMC student is a high school junior or senior who is capable of handling honors level coursework. He or she may be creative, free spirited and looking for a place to be engaged. Our students are dissatisfied with or unsuccessful in the traditional high school setting.
Application and Admissions Process
Students interested in attending must complete an admission application that includes self-reported interests/activities, essays and letters of recommendation. The student’s application file is reviewed by the principal and if complete, the student participates in a two-part interview: first with one or two teachers, then with the principal and school counselor. The principal also meets with the parent(s) during the interview process.
Students must have successfully completed Algebra I, Biology, English 9 and 10, Civics and Economics, Physical Education and World History.
