Eagles Earning Excellence

  • The Eagles Earning Excellence program is a weekly recognition of students who have excelled. Parents are encouraged to acknowledge and to commend when a child receives this award. One student from each homeroom, who has displayed positive character traits, will be recognized weekly on Friday morning as the "Eagle Earning Excellence."

Student Council

  • Students in Grades 3-5 have the opportunity to serve on the Student Council. Fifth grade students fill the positions of President and Secretary and fourth graders fill the office of Vice President and Treasurer. Each classroom in grades 3-5 has a representative on the Student Council. This group acts as a voice for the entire student body.

As part of our school district's strategic plan, Jefferson's students are expected to demonstrate strong character by incorporating these traits into their daily lives: courage, integrity, kindness, perseverance, respect, responsibility and  self-discipline. In addition to character education, our  students are immersed in civic education and service learning. The Student Council organizes several school-wide service projects for all students to participate in each year. Together, character education, civic education and service learning empower our students to be successful both inside and outside the classroom.
