Welcome to the Physical Education page at Falkener Elementary. My name is Mrs. Nancy Cauble and I have been at Falkener since 2012. Before that, I was at Cone Elementary for 8 years. I attended UNC for 2 years, and finished my BS in Recreation and Leisure Studies at UNC-G. I concentrated on Therapeutic Recreation and worked in a psychiatric setting for 4 years. When I started my family, I worked part-time, teaching gymnastics for 14 years. When my oldest of 3 children started college, I went back to school at Greensboro College and earned a teaching certificate through the lateral entry program. I have been teaching PE since 2004.
In PE, we strive to encourage students to be active every day!
Healthy, active kids do better in school, so we want to facilitate better learning, success, good behavior and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
All students should be participating in some time of physical activity for 60 minutes a day that include aerobic activities, muscle-strengthening activities and bone-strengthening activities. And most of all, we want these activities to be safe and FUN!
