• Hello!  My name is Cindy Kepley and I am relatively new to McLeansville Elementary School. I have been teaching in the Exceptional Children's Department since 2000. I began my journey teaching students with disabilities in middle school immediately after graduating from Appalachian State in May 2000. I went back to school in 2007 and received my Med. in Special Education with an Advance Licensure in Reading Specialty in 2010. I have taught students with disabilities across the continuum in Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have a passion for my students and work daily to ensure they succeed in all areas and leave the classroom confident in their abilities in the educational environment and beyond. I want to provide my students with the support they need to accomplish their goals and to be the best "them" they can be. I look forward to many more years working with the exceptional children's population.

This year, I have had the opportunity to have a second set of hands in my classroom. I have paired with UNCG and have had an intern/student teacher in my class. Sarah Foster is a senior this year and is an invaluable resource to our school and students. She is with us daily and works hands on with all students in our classroom. She brings a great deal of knowledge in 21st century learning and using tools she has learned in her coursework to teach our students. Welcome Sarah!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
