  • Connect-ED ® messages are sent each Sunday evening and other times as necessary for parent communication.     Hello, this is Principal Nixon-Green calling from High Point Central with your updates for the week.

    On Monday, our PTO meeting will be held in the Media Center at 6pm, all are welcome to attend.

    On Tuesday, October 15th we will host a Senior Parent Night at 5pm in the Media Center.   FAFSA assistance will be provided by our college adviser in the Media Center Computer lab from 4-5pm.

    On Wednesday October 16th from 5:30-6:30, we will host a 9th Grade Parent Night in our Media Center.  Parents who are not able to attend are invited to an encore of this meeting on Friday, October 18th from 8:15-8:45 or 12:15-12:45, also in the media center.

    On Wednesday, October 16th, the PSAT will be administered to all 10th & 11th grade students.  Freshmen and Seniors can use this day to complete college visits or service learning projects.  Students participating in either should bring a note to the attendance office to be excused. 

    Thursday October 17th is Senior Portrait Retake day. If your student did not take a senior portrait on campus, this is their last opportunity to do so. Students will not be allowed to submit their own photo for use in the senior section of the yearbook.

    Underclass Retake day is October 23rd.

    Everyone is signed up for the FREE yearbook photo.

    On October 22nd we will host a parent meeting to update you on our current progress as a school.  The meeting will be held in media center at 6pm.

    Please visit our webpage for updated information listed on our Bison Newsletter.  This information is located at the very bottom of our main page with an icon labeled Bison Newsletter.  Information on upcoming parent information sessions will be listed under the tab labeled parents.  All information will be shared with students and parents in all communication outlets to keep you updated.

    El lunes, nuestra reunión de PTO se llevará a cabo en el Centro de Medios a las 6pm, todos están invitados a asistir.

    El martes 15 de octubre tendremos una Noche de Padres Senior a las 5pm en el centro de medios. La asistencia de la FAFSA será proporcionada por nuestro asesor universitario en el laboratorio de computación del Centro de Medios de 4 a 5 p.m.

  • Bison Market, Senior Parent Night, NHS and PSAT

    Hello, this is High Point Central calling with your updates for the week.
    As a reminder, Wednesday, October 9th is a Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students.


    The High Point Central Bison Market will be open beginning Thursday, October 10th from 4-5:30pm. It will be open every other Thursday. The Bison Market offers free food items for students and their families including, meat and fresh vegetables. If your family could benefit from the Bison Market, please ask your student to get a form from their teacher or the attendance office. If students do not have access to transportation, please let us know and we will prepare and give them a bookbag or bag of food items prior to the dismissal of school. Please contact Ms. Hamlin if you have any questions.


    Friday October 11th is the deadline for applications for the National Honor Society. Seniors with an unweighted GPA of at least 3.3 who are interested, should see Mr. Mr. Myers for an application.


    Our Senior Parent Night will be October 15th at 5pm in the media center. FAFSA assistance will be provided by our college adviser in the Media Center Computer lab at 4pm prior to the meeting.


    The PSAT will be administered to all 10th & 11th grade students on October 16th. Students are encouraged to bring their own calculator.
    This will also be an opportunity day for seniors to complete college visits, service learning, or job shadowing. This will be an excused absence for seniors who bring a note confirming the visit.


    And as a reminder, all students received a copy of their interim reports last week. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or their counselor to arrange a teacher conference to discuss available support.

  • Concerts, Unity Day, and Upcoming Events

    Connect Ed May 19th

    Hello Parents, this is High Point Central calling with your updates for the week. 

    On Monday we will have our chorus and orchestra concert at 6pm in the auditorium.

    Thursday we will have our annual Unity Day from 3-5pm in our front lawn.

    And please join us for our annual Athletic banquet on next Tuesday, May 28 at 6pm in our cafeteria.

  • Career Day and Culture Fair

    Hello Bison Family,

    This is Dr. Nixon-Green calling from High Point Central with a few updates. 

    Tuesday we will host a Career Fair. Students will have an opportunity to visit with employers from various industries to learn more about different career paths.

    On Thursday, we will host an International Culture Fair during lunches.

    As a reminder, Friday is a holiday and no school for students and  staff and April 22-26th  is spring break for student.  Students will not have school that week.

    May 1st has now been changed to a workday.  Students will not have school on this day.

    Applications to be in our yearbook class next school year are due by this Thursday, April 18th. Yearbook applications are available in our main office, our counseling office, and room T08. 

    All yearbook and senior tribute payments are due immediately to our main office or room T08. Please pay by cash or a check made out to "High Point Central." Or pay by credit card at k12paymentcenter.com for a small additional charge.

    We only have six more 2019 yearbooks available to purchase for $85.00. Send in $85.00 immediately to our main office or room T08 to guarantee that your child will receive a copy of our 2019 yearbook. Or order online at jostensyearbooks.com or k12paymentcenter.com.

  • WHERE Ball and Saturday School

    Hello Bison family,

    This is Dr. Nixon-Green calling from High Point Central with a few updates for the weekend.  As a reminder, we will have Saturday school this weekend from 9-noon.  This is good  time for students to make up assignments and to make-up time.  The WHERE ball will also be held on Saturday from 5-8pm in our cafeteria.  Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults.  Thank you and have a great weekend.

  • Report Cards and More

    Hello, this is principal Nixon-Green calling from High Point Central with your updates for the week.

    On Monday we will have our monthly PTO meeting at 6pm in the media center.  All parents  staff and students are welcome to attend.

    Report cards will be distributed to all students on Tuesday.  If you have any questions about your student’s progress, please contact your student’s teacher or guidance counselor.

    Beta Club Induction Ceremony will be held on Thursday @6pm in the auditorium.

    And we will have Saturday school from 9am-noon for students needing additional assistance and those who would like to make up time.  The  Where Ball will also be held on Saturday @5pm in the cafeteria.  Tickets are required, please see Ms. Shaw or Ms. Nwabueze for addition al information.

  • Parent Registration Night, Interims, Student Awards

    Hello, This High Point Central high school calling with your updates for the week.

    On Tuesday, we will have a parent registration night at 6pm in our media center. Information will be shared about our new online registration system.

    On Thursday, student will receive a copy of their interim reports.

    On March 14th will have an awards program for 9th and 10th grade students at 9:30am in the auditorium and on March 15th a program for 11th and 12th grade students.  Additional details will be shared.

    All yearbook and senior tribute payments are due immediately. Please send cash or checks made out to "High Point Central" to our main office or room T08. You may also make credit card payments at K12PaymentCenter.com, but there is a slight additional charge. 

    We have only ordered 10 extra 2019 yearbooks, and once they sell out, there is no way to order any more. Please send in $85 to order one of these last extra yearbooks we have to sell. You may also order online at jostensyearbooks.com or k12paymentcenter.com.

  • Concerts, FAFSA Breakfast, IB Parent Meeting

    Hello, this is High Point Central High School calling with our announcements for the week.

    On Tuesday  we will have an Orchestra concert at 5:30pm in our auditorium.

    On Wednesday there will be a special FAFSA breakfast for parents with Ms. Ahmed our college advisor.  Please come for information on completing your financial aid paperwork for college.

    On Thursday we will have an IB Parent Meeting @ 5:30pm in the media center for all current junior and senior IB parents.

    Hello Bison Families,
