Hello, my name is Laura Ayers. I have been the School Counselor at Hunter Elementary since 2008. I work with students, families, staff, administrators, and community members to support student learning, achievement, and future career success.  I meet with students who need help dealing with emotions or solving problems.  I focus on social-emotional skills as well as college and career readiness in guidance lessons in all Kindergarten through 5th grade classes.  I am the coordinator for the Intervention Support Team, which helps teachers develop strategies and supports for students to be more successful with academics and behavior at school.   If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at 336-294-7345, ayersl@gcsnc.com, or stopping by my office.
