Mr. Darell Baker, Jr

Mr. Baker is a native of Greensboro, NC and a graduate of Grimsley High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Social Work from North Carolina A&T State University in 2011. He was a School Social Worker in Guilford County Schools for 5 years, with the mission of breaking barriers for students to excel in the classroom with the collaboration of the community, school and family. Mr. Baker felt his calling was to impact students in a greater capacity and improve the life outcomes of all students, so he went back to school and received his MSA in 2015. Outside of school, Mr. Baker enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and attending ball games. 

Excited about returning as a Red Raider in his eighth year and second year as principal, Mr. Baker shows a passion to change the lives of students daily.  His commitment is to see every student excel in their academic career by believing they can achieve anything.  As a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Mr. Baker inspires is to serve and lead his community and be a light that exemplifies achievement.
