• Service Learning is part of the Brown Summit Middle School experience.

In school, students participate in several projects during the year.  This fall our students collected canned goods, individual food items, conducted a Penny War and made snack bags to support the "Out of the Garden Project". Near the holidays, students collected toiletries, gloves, scarves and shoe boxes to make gift boxes for the homeless in the downtown Greensboro area. The boxes were hand delivered to the recipients on a cold December morning.

Outside of school, many of our students are involved in scouting projects or volunteering through churches or other organizations.
