Principal Burnette comes to Greensboro College Middle College (GCMC) with a wealth of experience in high schools in Guilford County Schools.  He served as a Marketing/Business Education teacher for T. Wingate Andrews High School.  His most recent role in the district was serving as an Assistant Principal at both Grimsley High School and at Weaver Academy. He has also held the position of treasurer for Sedgefield Elementary, basketball coach for Jackson Middle School and  at T. W. Andrews HS. During his time at T. Wingate Andrews, he was named Teacher of the Year.  He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Business Administration with a Marketing Concentration. His Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership comes from High Point University. He is an avid UNC-Chapel Hill enthusiast for all sports and a Tampa Bay Buccaneer fanatic, decades before Tom Brady. He looks forward to working with the students, staff, and community at GCMC , where we look to SOAR to Greatness.
