NC Elementary Battle of the Books

Elementary Battle of the Books, also known as "EBOB" is a fun, engaging reading club open to fourth and fifth grade students who love to read and like to compete! EBOB is sponsored by the North Carolina School Library Media Association (NCSLMA) with the purpose of encouraging reading in elementary students. The fourteen books on the list are nominated by the statewide Battle of the Books committee to encourage students to read a variety of literary genres, points of view, and literary settings. We are happy to offer EBOB at Sedalia Elementary, where the team placed first in competition just this past school year!  Interested students need to commit to not only reading but having a positive, team attitude for this special club. Beginning October 4th, meetings will be held on Thursdays after school in the Media Center from 2:30-3:30. Students can checkout BOB books from the Media Center, or through Destiny Discover's ebook shelf.   If you have any questions about EBOB, please email Ms. Foley, Media Specialist.  Happy Reading, Tigers!
