I’m very excited to be the 7th grade administrator for Southwest Middle School It is my desire to help and support our students and staff as we seek excellence in teaching and learning at Southwest.
Prior to arriving at Southwest, I served as an Assistant Principal at Page High School. In addition, I was the Curriculum Facilitator at Western Guilford High School and was a District Academic Coach for Language Arts and Social Studies in Davidson County. In this position, I supported the staff at all seven of their middle schools to help support teachers in raising achievement gaps. My teaching years were spent at South Asheboro Middle School, where I taught in grades 6th, 7th. and 8th in both ELA and Social Studies. This is my third year at SWMS.
I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in English, and I received my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from High Point University. My husband and I have three daughters, a new puppy, and in February we will become 1st time grandparents. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, attending sporting events, and reading .
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you ever need my support.
