Welcome to First Grade!
I am "paws"itive we are going to have a wonderful year together!
My name is Mrs. Sechrest and I teach 1st Grade at Colfax Elementary! This school year will be my 5th year as a first grade teacher. I absolutely love first grade, and cannot wait to continue in first for another year!
A little bit more about me.. I am originally from the mountains of Tryon, NC. I attended school at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and love being in a classroom! I also love working in the theatre and have directed 3 children's productions with The Davie County Arts Council.
One more fun fact.. I love dogs! (You will see this theme throughout my classroom!)
We are going to jump right into our CKLA and Eureka curriculums this year and learn so many new things! I also have some wonderful activities planned throughout the school year!
