Ms. Megan McElroy

I grew up in Cary NC but always went to school in Raleigh. In high school, I was a member of the Southeast Raleigh High School marching band & Jazz band (flute, piccolo, and alto saxophone), led a  girl scout troop (no judgments, I went to Montreal Canada for free selling cookies), and competed in Scottish Highland Dancing (no it's not the same as Irish dance and yes I own and have worn a kilt.)

I wound up making Greensboro my home after graduating from UNCG with a major in Mathematics and teaching license. While in college, I studied abroad in England for 6 months during which I went traveling through most of Europe. Next on my list of places, I would like to visit is Asia,  South/Central America, and the US west coast in that order.

I have 2 big dogs named Duke (brindle) and Cori (light brown) that love to snuggle and wholeheartedly believe they are 75 lb. lapdogs. You will often hear me refer to them as my babies. I love to travel, make funny faces, avid audio-book reader, and dress up for any fun event. Harry Potter and Game of Thrones are 2 of my favorite book and movie/tv series despite the terrible last season of Game of Thrones.

I have been teaching math for over 5 years teaching, most of these at the middle college.
