• I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Ms. Whitsett, and I am excited and honored to be your child’s kindergarten teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.  I graduated from Guilford College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Psychology.  I also have a Master of Arts in Human Services from Liberty University.  I have been with Guilford Country Schools for over fourteen years, and worked with Kindergarten through fifth grade.  I believe the classroom belongs to the students; it is their place to express themselves and to be challenged with new exciting experiences daily.  I welcome diversity in the classroom and offer understanding.

    I look forward to getting to know each student and supporting them in learning.  Please feel free to write me a note that describes your child.  This could be something you think is important for me to know or something that makes him or her unique.
