• Hello everyone!  My name is Dr. Jason Robertson and I started teaching at Grimsley High School with the 2018-2019 school year.  Prior to teaching at Grimsley I taught science and health at the college level for 17 years.  In addition to teaching at the collegiate level, I worked in substance abuse, sexual assault, and suicide prevention.    At Grimsley, I teach Honors Chemistry and AP Physics I.

I graduated from Averett University in 1996 with a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science and Chemistry.  At that time, I moved to Greensboro to attend UNCG and obtained my Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2002.  After leaving to work at another college, I returned to Greensboro in 2005 to work at UNCG and have not left since.  In addition to my MPH degree, I went on to get a Education Specialist degree from Appalachian State, a Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern, and a Masters in Infectious Disease Biology from the University of Saint Joseph.

I am very passionate about teaching and am looking forward to working with you and your students.  My goals are to help them learn to love science as much as I do and to see the connection to how science is related to their future career goals.  I am very proud to join the Whirlie family and am looking forward to a great year!
