Welcome to 3rd grade at Jefferson Elementary School!
I am excited to have the opportunity to teach and learn with your children this year! I am also excited to share that Jefferson Elementary will be an Arts Integration School this year, which means I will be incorporating dance, music, visual arts, and theater into our curriculum. If you have any experience in these areas, I would love to have you visit our class and share your knowledge!
This is my second year teaching third grade at Jefferson! I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in May of 2018. While attending UNCG, I had the opportunity to intern in 3rd grade at Jefferson, as well as 2nd grade at Alderman Elementary School. I completed my student teaching in 2nd grade at Alderman. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University in May of 2002. I worked in the field of engineering for nearly fifteen years before deciding to pursue my passion in elementary education.
I look forward to partnering with you and your child this year as we learn and grow together! I will communicate through REMIND, your child’s daily homework folder, telephone calls, weekly letters, and conferences. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child. You may call me at school at (336) 316-5870 or you may send me an email at email@example.com. It’s going to be a great year!
TOGETHER WE WILL SHINE!
