It is with great enthusiasm that I join the Ronald E. McNair Elementary School as the assistant principal. Along with the excitement, I am honored to be a part of the McNair community and I realize the great responsibility I have to inspire, empower, and influence our youth, as well as having a positive impact on families, staff, and communities in support of our students. It is my belief that students grow and achieve more when they are surrounded by involved and compassionate adults both within and outside of a school. I am looking forward to partnering with you, to give our students what each and every one of them deserves—a rigorous education that will prepare them well for success in college and life.

I have been fortunate to serve in many roles throughout my more than twenty years with the Guilford County Schools System. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I worked as a classroom teacher teaching kindergarten, first, second and fourth grades. I also served as a Curriculum Facilitator at Reedy Fork Elementary for four years and served five years at Irving Park Elementary as an administrator.

No matter the role within education or grade I have taught, I always return to my core values, which include the idea that education is the great equalizer, an instrument to change the world. It is with that I go forward to make a positive impact towards equity and excellence in our school so our students will make their own positive and lasting impact in our world.
