From Dr. Smith:

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I know this is an unusual start to the year due to the COVID pandemic, but I am confident it will be a great year nonetheless. We have an incredible team of teachers and staff members who are prepared to educate every student in the Bessemer community. This is my third year as principal, and I am fortunate to be the principal of such an incredible school. I intend to work hard alongside my teachers and staff to ensure our Bessemer Bobcats receive a quality education!

At Bessemer, you can expect our teachers to challenge your students, teach a curriculum that will be tailored to meet your child’s needs, and provide opportunities to not only build upon your child’s strengths but to support their inquiry of the world around them. We will do our best to ensure that each child finds him/herself comfortable, welcomed, respected, challenged appropriately, and most of all, LOVED.

Thank you for your support in the educational development of your child. We look forward to a great year!

Kind Regards,

Dr. Chelsea Smith
