From Dr. Smith:

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I am privileged to begin another school year as your principal. Thank you for the opportunity to serve our students and community. I am extremely excited to have each of you as members of the BOBCAT Family and look forward to working closely with parents, guardians, and friends of Bessemer.

At Bessemer, you can expect that our teachers will challenge your students, teach a curriculum that will be tailored to meet your child’s needs, and provide opportunities to not only build upon your child’s strengths but to support their inquiry of the world around them. I am pleased to have the privilege of working alongside knowledgeable staff who hold high expectations and continue to raise the bar for students and themselves. We will do our best to ensure that each child finds him/herself comfortable, welcomed, respected, challenged appropriately, and most of all, LOVED.

Thank you for your support in the educational development of your child. We look forward to a great year!

Kind Regards,

Dr. Chelsea Smith
