Welcome to ACES at Guilford
The Claxton ACES Program provides quality academic, enrichment and recreational activities for students currently enrolled at Claxton Elementary School. The program is licensed with a 4 Star Rating from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and has a “Superior Rating” from the Guilford County Health Department.
ACES operates daily from 2:20 p.m. until 6 p.m., as well as from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. on designated teacher workdays and 12:20 p.m. - 6 p.m. on early release days.
A $15 non-refundable enrollment fee is due when the initial ACES enrollment application for the school year is submitted for each student. The enrollment fee is not required for students who have a DSS or other agency childcare voucher.
The weekly fee is $46 and is due on Monday prior to the week attending.
ACES activities include: Growing Community Leaders: An ACES Curriculum That Serves, KidzLit® Literacy Program, Jr. Master Gardener® and Soil Solutions® Nature Activities, Learning for Life and other Character Education activities, Academic Time (for students to work independently on homework), Computer Lab, Book-It® Reading Incentive Program, CATCH® Kids, KidzMath and Versatiles Math Programs, Centers, Field Trips, and Special Events.
A nutritional snack is also served daily.
