Welcome to ACES at TLM!

  • ACES . . . helping children develop curiosity, creativity and character

Triangle Lake Montessori invites parents to choose the district’s After-School Care Enrichment Services (ACES) program for quality, affordable, and convenient after-school care.

     Who?

Triangle Lake ACES proudly serves both Triangle Lake and Union Hill Elementary students and parents. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can enroll in ACES at any time during the school year.

Our ACES staff members are trained in BSAC, CPR, First Aid, and Playground Safety and undergo at least ten hours of additional training every year to guarantee that we know how to keep your children safe and having fun!

     What?

ACES provides a balance of academicenrichment and recreational after-school activities. The program expands children’s experiences, extends their learning, and provides warm and caring support.

In ACES, students pursue academic excellence as they work on homework, engage in literacy-rich activities, review and practice math concepts, and take part in activities that support their success in school and in life.

     When?

ACES is offered every day that school is in session for students.  Triangle Lake teachers drop off our students directly after school, and the Union Hill bus arrives around 3:00. We provide a safe and fun environment for all students until families arrive to pick them up before 6:00

On some teacher workdays, designated as ACES All-Days, the program operates from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. On All-Days, students enjoy field trips or participate in special on-site activities. (An $8.00 Activity Fee is charged on an ACES All-Day.)

     Where?

Our program centers around the TLM Cafeteria, but we use multiple locations throughout the school. Please check the location board by the ACES office to help locate your child.

     Why?

The ACES program addresses the needs of the whole child, helps develop well-rounded students, increases character-development opportunities for students, and focuses on the social and emotional well-being of children.

Involvement in ACES helps build positive school-family relationships and strengthens our schools’ educational partnership with parents and students.

If you're not already convinced, please call or visit us to see what else ACES can offer you!

Parents may come to the school weekdays during the school year between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to complete and submit their ACES enrollment application, $15 non-refundable enrollment fee, and $50 non-refundable deposit to Thomas Beerbower, ACES Site Coordinator

The deposit will be applied to the child’s last week of ACES.

The weekly fee is $50.00 a week and is due on Friday by 6:00 p.m to cover the following week. A $5.00 late fee will automatically be applied to any payments not made by noon on Monday

The enrollment fee and deposit are waived for students who have a childcare voucher from DSS or another agency. Parents can apply for assistance at the Guilford County DSS Services Office at 1203 Maple Street, Greensboro, (336-641-3715) or at the High Point DSS Services Office at 325 Russell Ave. (336-641-4572).

Note: An ACES week consists of 3 days or more that the program is open. A week in which ACES is only open two days is $25.00 per child.
