The Claxton ACES (operating @ Jesse Wharton) Program provides quality academic, enrichment and recreational activities for students currently enrolled at Claxton Elementary School. The program is licensed with a 4 Star Rating from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and has a “Superior Rating” from the Guilford County Health Department.
ACES operates daily from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
ACES activities include: Growing Community Leaders: An ACES Curriculum That Serves, KidzLit® Literacy Program, Jr. Master Gardener® and Soil Solutions® Nature Activities, Learning for Life and other Character Education activities, Academic Time (for students to work independently on homework), Computer Lab, Book-It® Reading Incentive Program, CATCH® Kids, KidzMath and Versatiles Math Programs, Centers, Field Trips, and Special Events.
A nutritional snack is also served daily.
