Congratulations class of 2020!!
HAECO Americas is currently hiring Aircraft Mechanic Helpers! This is a great opportunity to start a career in commercial aviation maintenance.
HAECO was founded in 1990 and supports airlines and cargo carriers around the world through a broad array of aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and engineering services. We are headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina and employ over 1,000 individuals across two multi-hanger locations in Greensboro, North Carolina and Lake City, Florida.
This is a new program that we coordinated with GTCC to have a specific number of spots in their Airframe and Powerplant Program. Typically we hire Aircraft Mechanic Helpers that are already in the Airframe & Powerplant Program at GTCC which we will continue to do but now with this new program were are looking to hire candidates that have an interest in aircraft maintenance/repair and are willing to go to GTCC to earn their Airframe & Powerplant License. Although this program is not specific to graduating seniors, it is a great opportunity for them especially if pursuing a four year degree is not the path they want to go.
Aircraft Mechanic Helpers will gain experience working on both passenger and cargo aircraft while having the opportunity to earn their Airframe & Powerplant License following the completion of the Aviation Systems Technology program at Guilford Technical Community College. Aircraft Mechanic Helpers will be required to enroll in the Aviation Systems Technology program at GTCC for the upcoming semester in August. This is a part-time position to allow you to attend GTCC fulltime. As an employee of HAECO Americas you will be eligible to participate in our Certification Assistance Program in which HAECO offers financial assistance for A&P certification programs (such as registration, tuition, books) and the associated costs of the final certification exam to obtain your Airframe & Powerplant License.
The A&P Program at GTCC is roughly an 18 month program to give students the knowledge and skill set they need to successfully earn their A&P License. They will work part-time hours here at HAECO Americas either before or after their classes which will be from 1pm – 5pm. The other great thing is that we will pay for it including the cost of the actual test required by the FAA to become a licensed A&P Mechanic. Once they successfully earn their A&P License they will be promoted to a full-time A&P Mechanic.
Currently we have a total of 20 spots we are committed to fill to start classes at GTCC in August. We have interviewed several upcoming GSC graduates from various schools but not enough to fill all 20 positions. The positions are open to anyone interested but as you can see it is a great opportunity for upcoming graduates.
If interested, please apply.
We are currently scheduling interviews with qualified candidates who have completed an online application. All hires will be need to be ready to start August 2020.
