    Good evening Washington families,

This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

Thank you for making last week an amazing 1st week of school. Our Washingtonians have plunged right into learning. If you would like to see some pictures from our first week of school, head over to our Facebook page. While there, please like and follow us. We post many updated and exciting news on this page.

As a reminder we welcome students in for morning arrival starting at 7:25am. The school day will begin properly at 7:45am.  If your  Washingtonian arrives after 7:45 AM they are late. You must walk them to the front office to sign in. All students arriving late must be escorted to our front door by an adult at all times there are no exceptions.

If you are dropping your Washingtonian off, you must use the car rider line. The entrance to our car rider line is on Hargett street.

We will begin our dismissal process at 2:30. For pickup in the car rider line please display your Washingtonian’s name plate on you dashboard. Please do not attempt to park on the side of the street and walk to the front door, we will have staff out redirecting  you to use the car rider line. Only families who walk from their home to the school may be designated as walkers. Please do not attempt to walk to the car rider line to get your Washingtonian. For safety purposes, we will only release students out of the car rider line if they are getting into a vehicle..

Your weekly Health and Wellness tip for this week is: When our lives get busy, it can be difficult to get in a workout. Here are some tips to make time for exercise with a busy schedule: Keep a bag of exercise clothes or athletic shoes in the car, ask a friend to catch up while walking, or park your car far from stores to get in extra steps.

At Washington We Honor Community, Show Excellence,  and Think Critically.

Have a great evening, and remember Team Works.
