Greetings Trojan Nation,
I am proud to serve as the 8th Grade Assistant Principal here at Ferndale Middle School. This school year I plan to inspire and encourage students to be the best they can be in and out of the classroom. My goal for the 2020-2021 School year is to maintain a safe, trusting, and caring environment for our students, staff, parents, and community members.
I began my educational career in my hometown of Macon, Georgia where I served as the Conceptual Physics Teacher, AVID Coordinator, and 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year at Central High School. In 2014 I moved to the Piedmont Triad Area to join T.W. Andrews High School as a Science Teacher, Teacher Mentor, and AVID Junior Advisor. Throughout my time as an educator in Guilford County Schools I have also had the privilege to lead students at Lincoln Academy and the Middle College of North Carolina A& T as well.
I attended Savannah State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and played on the football team from 2005-2007. Shortly after I became an educator, I decided to enhance my teaching skills by obtaining a Masters of Secondary Education with a concentration in Science from Georgia College & State University. Most recently I completed the Administration Credential Program through Gardner-Webb University,
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and dogs. I consider my hobbies reading, playing sports, lifting weights, and photography.
