My name is Daniele Peace Kay and I am the K-5th grade EC Regional Behavior Support teacher here at Florence. For the last 10 years, I have been teaching special education at Florence, however, I have been teaching for GCS for a total of 20 years. In December of 1997, I received my Bachelor of science in Special Education from Greensboro College. I earned triple certification while at Greensboro College. I am licensed to teach Exceptional Children in the areas of Learning Disabled, Mentally Disabled, and Behavior Emotional Disabled (adaptive & general) in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Over the past 20 years of my career, I have had the opportunity to teach a very diverse population of special needs students representing all categories of special education.
I have been married for 17 years and we have 3 beautiful children. I have a big dog named Rusty and a black/white cat named Olive. I enjoy watching my children participate in their extra curricular activities. I love to watch musicals and my MOST favorite flowers are tulips.
