My name is Taylor Ashley and this is my 7th year teaching, and my second year at Lincoln Academy.

I am originally from Long Island, New York and lived in New York City while attending the New School of Social Research.

I received my B.S. in Education from Daytona State College and earned my Master in Education with a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder from the University of Central Florida through the Project ASD program.

I have Certifications in English 6-12, and Exceptional Student Education K-12. I also have endorsements in Reading and English for Students of other Languages. In addition to teaching middle school English Language Arts and high school English, I have taught English as an Adjunct Professor at Daytona State College in the Adult Education ESOL Department.

Before teaching I enjoyed a career as a freelance writer and ghostwriter for Arbor Books in New York City, then as a photojournalist for the Daytona Beach News-Journal for 18 years. I bring my passion for reading and writing to the face-to-face and remote classroom every day.
