Hello Colfax family.  My name is Cynthia Warren and I will be your child's reading and social studies teacher.  I have worked in the Guilford County School System for all of my twenty years of teaching.  After serving almost nine years in the United States Marine Corps, I became a stay-at-home mom for several years.  During those years I began to volunteer in the classroom and there began my love of helping children.  I graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education.  I have been in love with teaching ever since!  I have three adult children: Courtney, Ashley, and Myles.  We are extremely close.  We have an online business that allows them to work from home, but they sometimes surprise me with a visit to my classroom.  We all enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending quality time together.  We are currently learning Spanish and hope to become fluent in the near future.  I look forward to working with you and your child to build a strong relationship that will nurture and encourage academic excellence.
