Welcome to 7th grade!! 2024-25 will be a year of fun, student growth, and learning at Kernodle Middle School, where we encourage all to BE BOLD, BE BRAVE and BE BRILLIANT! I am a mother of four wonderful children, one girl and three boys, ages 25, 18, 14 and seven, respectively. I am a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, with a Bachelor's in Education and a Masters in School Administration. This will be my 18th year teaching middle school English/ Language Arts. I believe teaching is truly my calling in life and is honestly a passion for me. Culturally, I belong to the Native American or Indigenous Lumbee tribe located in southeastern North Carolina. My hobbies are reading, traveling, nature walks, spending time with family, volunteering and, of course, teaching/sharing information. I look forward to getting to know each of you and building positive relationships.
