Ms. Cravey

I have taught in Guilford County Schools since 2001. I graduated from Converse College with a B.A. in politics and English in 1996 and from UNCG with an M.L.I.S concentrating in school librarianship and children's services in 2001.

My husband and I are originally from Gainesville, Florida, home of the University of Florida (Go Gators!), but we have lived in Greensboro since 1997. This is home now, even though I much prefer Florida winters to the cold in North Carolina. We have one child, a boy, who is now a challenging teenager.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, listening to music, exercising, playing board games, and, of course, reading! Spring is my favorite season -- it always comes just in time to rescue me from the chill of winter -- but I have also come to love autumn, which is always beautiful in North Carolina. Taking walks and going on bike rides are my favorite things to do during both seasons.

I want the Jackson Middle School Library Information Center to be a welcoming, busy place for our students. Access to books they want to read, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to improve students' reading skills -- the more they want to read, the better readers they will become.

I want to invite all members of the Jackson Middle School Community to visit the School Library Information Center. Our doors are always open and the books are waiting for you.
