Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jessica Bohn

It is my honor to return to Gibsonville Elementary School as Principal, where I previously served as Principal from 2011 - 2016.  In my 20th year in education, I have served as an education consultant, principal, assistant principal, district curriculum specialist and teacher.  I have a Bachelor degree from UNC Chapel Hill, a Master of Education degree from UNC Greensboro and a Post-Masters Certification in School Administration from High Point University.  As a school leader, I am committed to serving students, teachers and parents with integrity, grit and creativity.  I will work to ensure we provide a Whole Child education, where every child is healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged.

I grew up in a rural area about 15 minutes northeast of Gibsonville, and I understand what makes this school community special.  The resiliency of the Gibsonville community can be seen from the unique downtown area to the side-by-side placement of the old and new school buildings, marking almost a (combined) century of teaching and learning.  The heart of the Gibsonville community is demonstrated at Gibsonville Elementary School, where learning and community come together.  Gibsonville Elementary is a school that supports social-emotional learning, accelerates critical thinking, and provides equitable access to rigorous academic content.

I have two daughters, one in college at UNC Charlotte and one finishing elementary school. I enjoy traveling with my husband and kids, and I am passionate about interdisciplinary earth sciences, meteorology and global learning.

Please feel free to reach out to me or any member of the administration or staff, as we partner with you in our quest to provide a Whole Child education for all students.
