    Welcome to the homepage of Ms. Meeks. I am so glad you are here! I am very excited to be here as your teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Teaching and learning is my passion. I look forward to being here on your science journey as you navigate through this school year. I have high expectations for my students. Please note that this year will be full of new learning experiences as we navigate through the online focus of your academic journey. Keep in mind that I know you have greatness in you. You have the ability to be successful in science. Therefore I am expecting you to complete assignments and fulfill your responsibilities. Don't worry. I will be here to guide you along the way.


    Respect, self-confidence, self-discipline, and open-mindedness will be major factors in our relationship of teaching and learning.  I know you can do it. Together we can make this a fun and excited semester.

    PARENT-STUDENT SIGN UP: Don't forget to signup to become an observer in CANVAS to check up on your child. Complete the parent-student survey.  Asking for help is crucial. Why? Some of the content will be challenging but remember I will always be here. Just remember to reach out to me. I want your feedback.     How to contact me: The best way to contact me is by inboxing me on CANVAS. You can also email me, but if you do, please let me know what class & block you are in. Also, be sure to purchase a spiral notebook and a scientific calculator. I am teaching physical science and forensic science with a variety of grade levels. If you reach out to me via email about something that needs my attention with the physical science or forensic science class or one of the students enrolled in one of the classes, include the following labels in the 'subject' line of the email.
    For help with or questions about a topic related to a course, but not regarding a particular student, please title the email according to the class you are interested in using the following examples:
    Subject: Physical Science
    Subject: Forensic Science
    For questions regarding the performance of particular students (grades, updates, seeking tutoring, etc.) please title the email using the following examples:
    Subject: Last name, First Initial, Grade Level, Course Title
    Subject: Jones, C, 12, Physical Science
